Keswick Film Festival 2017

Anchored within the stunning Lakeland landscape, this year’s festival will take you all over the world, to other landscapes where the majesty of the natural environment shapes the lives, loves and fortunes of those who live there.

The landscape also inspires and their poetry theme. This will explore the creative process and the tortured souls who bring them such exquisite writing, from England in the 16th Century to South America in the 20th Century.

But not all is harmony. Differences in race, sexuality, religion and mere geography give rise to conflict and injustice – and some of the best films you will see are born from those tensions.
