Guide 1- How to join the Lakes Directory

Step 1 

On the task bar at the top of the lakes directory home page we have a “submit Listing” tab, this tab will direct you to the page where you can start looking though the different services we offer.

Step 2

This is where you will have chance to look at the 3 different services we offer, each service is laid out on the page so you can see each benefit that particular package will provide for your business. When have had a look at what each package could provide for your business and your ready to proceed to signing up to that package then you can click the “join up today” tab at the bottom of the each of the package.

Step 3

The tab will then take you to the top of the page where you can start filling in the register form on the left hand side of the page. The form is very simple it will ask you some simple questions about what information you want on the account your setting up. Then you will go thought the pay pal paying portal this will take you payment details securely. Once the form is filled out and the payment has been successfully completed then we will send you your login details to start adding your account.

Guide 2- Adding a special offer

Step 1

Adding a special offer is very simple, first go to the “special offer” tab on the task bar, this will take you thought to start publishing your special offer. First start with a title of the special offer, this will be at the forefront of the “special offer” and will advertised using that title.

Step 2 

Then after adding the title start adding the description of the special offer. This will tell customers what is included in the special offer. This can be a brief summery to describe your special offer or you can add detail about what your special offer includes this is entirely up to you.

Step 3 

Step 3 will be where you start adding the price of the special offer, what currency you want the special offer to be advertise in. Then further down you will add what date the special offer starts and ends. This will give your customers more information and will give your business boost when the offer is launched. You can also assign offers to existing listings, this means if you have a business page with us then you can add the special offer to relate to that item. You can even put who the anther of the special offer is, giving your special offer a more personal touch.

Adding an Event

Step 1 

To add an event to your profile go to your Lakes Directory Dashboard click on the tab called “add event”. This will direct you to start publishing your event. You will start with adding the title of your event. This will used for advertisement so make sure the title of the event is clear.

Step 2

Step 2 is adding the description to the event, unlike the special offer this will need to be more detailed so your customers get the full idea of what the event is going to be and they can expect of the event.

Step 3 

Step 3 is filling is the event option sand the general information section. This is the final part to publishing an event on Lakes Directory, you will need to add the event header this can either be an image or a location map. Then you will move on the general information section, this will ask what dates the event is being held, what the fee of the event is if their is a fee if not then please just leave this section empty, below that is what currency you want the event fees to be paid in. when you have choose what currency you want your event in then you will be asked in you want the event to be related to any items you have on lakes directory, this means if you have a business page you can relate the event back to your business page. You will also have an option of using the items location as the same as your event. So if your event is held at the same location as your item then please put yes on this section. If not then please input the postcode of the event so this can be published and advertised on the event.

Adding a Job Listing

Step 1 

To add a job listing to Lakes Directory go to the “Job offer” tab on your dashboard, this will direct you to publishing your job offer on you profile. You will then go thought the stages of completing publishing, this starts with the title of the job offer your advertising.  The title needs to be clear as this will be the title that is advertised.

Step 2 

Then after completing your title, you will move on the the job description like the events this will need to be detailed so potential employees will understand the job role that you are offering.

Step 3  

Step 3 you start adding the general information about the job offer, the first section is the main text of the job offer, this will be advertised with the title of the job offer. Then you will input when the job offer is a available from and when it expires. Then you will need to input a person to contact this will who the potential employee contacts. Then a contact email address and phone number.
